Meet BKC's New Managing Director

Welcoming Katy Doyle

The Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University is pleased to welcome Katy Doyle as its new Managing Director.

As Managing Director, Doyle will serve as BKC’s chief operating officer, overseeing programs, operations, and administration for the Center and enabling BKC's overall work and activities.

Doyle comes to BKC from Harvard Center for International Development (CID), where she oversaw organizational management, operations, and strategic execution—most recently as Senior Director. Over her twelve years of experience at CID, her work spanned a range of areas, including organizational strategy, communications, and global partnerships, all with the goal of building institutions that connect research, practice, and public engagement, and turning ideas into action.

“Katy brings years of experience in building, managing, and leading a major academic research center.  She has a proven track record of shepherding organizations through change and growth as well as deep professionalism, kindness and commitment to excellence,” said Executive Director Alex Pascal. “We are thrilled and privileged to bring her on board at BKC.”

Doyle joins BKC during an exciting moment for the Center, including preparations for its 30th anniversary and ongoing efforts to expand its research, convening, and public engagement activities.

“What drew me to BKC is its ability to bring together research, practice, and public engagement in ways that have real impact,” said Doyle. “Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to building institutions and communities that help ambitious ideas thrive. I’m excited to join BKC and support the people, partnerships, and programs that spark new ways of thinking and meaningful engagement with the world beyond Harvard.”
